Culture and heritage
Sas Païses
The Talayotic Village Ses Païsses is one of the best preserved prehistoric settlements in Mallorca. It was founded around 850 B. C.
Santuario de San Salvador
One of the most important and emblematic architectural complexes. Next to the walled enclosure and the outbuildings of Es Donat a building of the sixteenth century, we find the Sanctuary which is a Renaissance Church of the Latin Cross
Parque natural de Llevant
The natural park covers an area of 1,671 hectares and consists of different Mediterranean habitats such as oaks, olive groves and pine groves, as well as beaches and streams.
Ermita de Betlem
It was founded in 1805 and the few buildings of the old monastery stand on the foundations of an ancient watchtower. At the end of an avenue lined with tall cypress trees stands the neoclassical chapel. It is open to visitors from the region during the day.
Caves of Artà
The Artà Caves with their stalactites were once a refuge for pirates and served as a sanctuary for the fighters of the Moorish army in the 13th century. From here you can enjoy a fantastic view of the bay of Canyamel. A bizarre world with mighty stalagmites and stalactites awaits you on a tour of the caves. Guided tours are available in several languages.

A stroll through the streets of Artà, see the typical Mallorcan façades, enjoy the village atmosphere and discover the charming shops and boutiques around the main square.
Colonia de San Pere
It is an old fishing village that belongs to the municipality of Artà with a small promenade, a small beach and its marina. Perfect for a stroll, eat a paella at the Club Nautico and enjoy the views over the bay.
Beaches and coves
Cala Torta
Beautiful virgin beach with white sands and bordered by small cliffs in a natural and wild environment. It is located in the middle of Cala Mitjana and Cala Mesquida, both connected by paths perfect for an excursion with sea views.
Cala Mitjana
Virgin cove that is formed by a small beach of fine sand about 90 m long and up to 100 m wide. Two low rocky areas form its ends, while its back part is a small dune system (protected) populated by thistles and junipers.
Golf courses
Pula Golf
Located in the northeast of the island of Mallorca, in the municipality of Son Servera. Pula Golf, home of 7 European Tours, 6.297 metres of white tees, and with a course where you can see the green and tee on 14 of the 18 holes. It also has a large Driving Range, two putting greens and a short game area where you can practise your shots to 70 metres.
Son Servera Golf
The second oldest golf club in the Balearic Islands, this 18-hole course is located at the foot of the mountains and surrounded by pine trees with a panoramic view of the bay. Located 13km from Artà.
Capdepera Golf
Located between the Capdepera Castle and Artà, was designed by Dan Maples, renowned American architect, and has an 18-hole course, in which we find both simple holes - located mostly in the valley area - and others that pose a challenge for our golfers and that are played between the mountains of the Levante Mallorquin, which makes the experience even more special.
Canyamel Golf
With 6,185 meters, is distinguished for being one of the most picturesque of the island. The 18-hole, par 73 course was created in 1988 by the specialist architect José Gancedo, respecting and preserving the natural environment and its orography to the maximum.
Weekly markets and events
Artà Market
Every Tuesday, the main street and the town square are filled with stalls with typical Mallorcan food, handicrafts made with palm trees -such as capacos, hats, bags... - and producers who move there to sell the best of their orchards and preparations.
Agricultural and cattle Fair
An agricultural and livestock fair held every year at the beginning of September. The main square of Artà is filled with stalls selling products and objects from the island and animals.
Fiestas patronales de San Salvador
At the beginning of August the festivities of the patron saint of Artà "San Salvador" are celebrated with numerous activities and festivities for all ages.
Sant Antoni
Its origin goes back to the agricultural roots of the island's society; when people used to entrust themselves to Saint Anthony, patron saint of all those animals that were indispensable in the work in the fields. Filled with characteristic elements such as the demons, the foguerons or the Beneïdes, its music and its typical gastronomy make this celebration one of the most beloved ones.
